Hakimi hat-trick powers PSG to 5-1 Ligue 1 win at Le Havre

Hakimi hat-trick PSG Le Havre was the defining story of Friday’s Ligue 1 match, as Paris Saint-Germain beat Le Havre 5-1 in the ninth round. Achraf Hakimi was credited with three goals and two assists in a dominant PSG performance.

Le Havre opened the scoring, but PSG responded emphatically and left with a result that strengthened their position as Ligue 1 leaders. The win also offered reassurance from a reshuffled PSG lineup, with players outside the usual starting core making their impact felt.

Hakimi takes centre stage for PSG

Hakimi’s attacking return was the clear headline from Le Havre-PSG. The right-sided defender finished the match with 3 goals and 2 assists, giving PSG the decisive edge in a fixture that had started with Le Havre in front.

For a player more often discussed for his running power, width and defensive responsibility, this was an unusually prolific night in the final third. PSG’s 5-1 scoreline reflected not only their control after the early setback, but also Hakimi’s direct influence on almost every major attacking moment.

The result was listed as Le Havre 1-5 PSG, with PSG scoring five away from home after the Normand side had opened the scoring. That turnaround made the victory more emphatic and underlined the gap between the teams once PSG found rhythm.

A measured reaction from Hakimi

Hakimi was able to enjoy the evening after such a rare individual return, but he did not present it as the defining match of his career. Asked about the scale of his performance, he kept the moment in perspective.

« Non, ce n'est pas le match de ma vie »

The comment captured a calm response to a remarkable statistical display. Even with three goals and two assists, Hakimi avoided turning the performance into a personal landmark beyond the immediate importance of the result.

PSG recover after Le Havre’s opener

Le Havre’s early advantage gave PSG a problem to solve, but the visitors’ response was decisive. The final score of 5-1 showed how quickly the match moved away from the home side once PSG imposed themselves.

The victory also came with a reshuffled PSG composition. That made the performance more significant for the squad as a whole, with the result offering fresh certainty from players described as usual substitutes.

For PSG, that is valuable in a long domestic campaign. Winning heavily away from home while rotating or adjusting the lineup can reinforce depth, especially when the team still manages to protect its status at the top of Ligue 1.

PSG strengthen their lead in Ligue 1

The win allowed PSG to consolidate their position as Ligue 1 leaders after the ninth round. While the night will be remembered for Hakimi’s numbers, the broader importance was another league victory and a forceful reaction after conceding first.

PSG leave Le Havre with a commanding scoreline, a standout individual performance and further evidence that their squad can deliver beyond the usual starters. For Hakimi, it was a night to savour — even if he was quick to insist it was not “the” match of his life.
