Kylian Mbappé awarded Onze d’Or one week before Ballon d’Or ceremony

Kylian Mbappé Onze d’Or recognition is now official, with the prize attributed to him this Monday. The award, decided by readers of Onze mondial, rewards the best player of the season in Europe and comes exactly one week before the Ballon d’Or ceremony.

Mbappé officially receives the Onze d’Or

Kylian Mbappé has been officially awarded the Onze d’Or, adding a major individual honour to his season. The distinction is presented to the best player of the season in Europe.

The award was officially attributed this Monday, placing Mbappé at the centre of the individual awards conversation as attention turns toward the Ballon d’Or ceremony.

For fans following the major football prizes, the key detail is clear: Mbappé has been named the Onze d’Or winner before another prominent individual award event takes place.

What the Onze d’Or represents

The Onze d’Or is linked to Onze mondial and is decided by its readers. Its purpose is to reward the best player of the season in Europe.

That makes it a reader-voted individual prize rather than a club competition or a match-based award. In this edition, the honour has gone to Mbappé.

The award’s identity is built around season-long recognition. It highlights one player for his performance across the European football season, as judged by the readers who take part in the vote.

Timing adds focus before the Ballon d’Or

The timing of the announcement is notable because the Onze d’Or has been attributed exactly one week before the Ballon d’Or ceremony.

Both awards belong to the wider calendar of individual football honours, and the close timing means Mbappé’s Onze d’Or recognition arrives directly in the build-up to the Ballon d’Or event.

The two prizes are separate, but the schedule gives this announcement added visibility for supporters tracking the leading individual awards in European football.

What happens next

The next major event in this awards sequence is the Ballon d’Or ceremony, which follows one week after the Onze d’Or was officially attributed.

Mbappé goes into that week having already been recognised with the Onze d’Or, the reader-voted prize from Onze mondial for Europe’s best player of the season.
